The Weminuche Wilderness area is the largest Wilderness area in Colorado. It spans the Continental Divide and is the headwater to both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. At an average elevation of 10,000 feet above sea level, the area contains rugged terrain, beautiful valleys, rivers and waterfalls. Groups usually meet near Durango, approximately 13 hours west of Tulsa or 6 hours South of Denver.
Connected to the Le Creek Valley, this state park is in West Fork Arkansas. A rock dam spans Lee Creek forming Lake Devil, an 8-acre lake with much of the parks wood and stone structures build in the 1830s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Within Devils den you’ll find Butterfield trail leading through the Ozark National Forest.
Hare Mountain and White Rock Mountain. The OHT is a 218-mile hiking trail crossing seven counties in the Ozark National Forest and is recognized as one of the most scenic trails in the US. It Starts in Ft. Smith State Park, crossing through the Buffalo National River and into the Sycamore Ranger District. Our route on the OHT usually begins in Ozark Arkansas about 2-and-ahalf hours east of Tulsa Oklahoma.
Situated an hour-and-a-half southwest of Oklahoma City are several parks within at 59K acre federally designated wilderness area and wildlife refuge with trails, granite cliffs, and forests to explore.
